How much does a content engine cost?
Engagements start with a Content Engine Audit at $2,500 — a fixed fee, credited toward any retainer. The Standard Engine retainer is $4,500/month and the Regulated Engine (healthcare, finance, and other regulated industries) is $6,500/month, both on 6-month minimums. A one-time Build & Handoff for in-house teams is $12,000, and a Conversion Layer add-on is $1,500/month. Full details are on the services page.
Is the content written by AI?
It's produced by an AI-assisted pipeline and reviewed by a human before anything publishes — every piece, no exceptions. AI handles the production layer (research, drafts, formatting) at roughly $1–4 of cost per post; a human editor supplies the judgment, which is most of the real cost and all of the trust. Teams that remove the human gate learn the expensive way: quality drifts and search engines notice.
Will this replace my marketing team?
No — it multiplies them. One marketer plus the Engine produces roughly what a three-person content team would: about 12 posts a month instead of 4, at around $500 per post instead of $1,600–1,900, with your marketer's 15–20 reclaimed weekly hours going to strategy, pipeline work, and the review gate. The Engine is a production system, not a strategist; the judgment stays human and stays yours.
How long until we see results?
The audit takes two weeks and the engine build another three to four. Organic search results compound on a longer clock — meaningful movement typically shows in three to six months, which is why retainers run six-month minimums. We report monthly against the roadmap so you can see leading indicators (indexing, impressions, rankings) well before the revenue curve turns.
What happens in the Content Engine Audit?
Two weeks of analysis on your Google Analytics, Search Console, and CRM data: a content gap map against real search demand, a production capacity and cost model, bot and anomalous-traffic screening, and a 12-month roadmap. The roadmap is yours to keep whether or not we continue — the worst case is a plan your team can run themselves.
How do you handle content for regulated industries like healthcare?
Regulated engagements add a compliance gate: automated screening against a rulebook your team defines (claims substantiation, identifier checks, required disclaimers), clinical-grade editorial review, and sign-off by a named approver on your side before anything publishes. Every draft, check result, approval, and timestamp lands in an audit trail you can produce on demand. Where PHI is involved we operate under a business associate agreement — and we help you structure engagements to avoid PHI entirely where possible.
Is our data used to train AI models?
No. Client work runs on commercial AI terms that contractually exclude customer content from model training, with stricter zero-retention or self-hosted arrangements available for sensitive engagements. Each client's data, credentials, and workflows are also isolated from every other client's. The full commitments are on our data handling page.
Do you post to social media too?
Yes — the Conversion Layer includes syndication to Facebook and LinkedIn company pages (and Instagram where it fits), through officially sanctioned APIs and schedulers only. Each post is adapted per channel and glanced over by a human before it goes out.
Can you build the engine for our in-house team instead?
Yes — that's the Build & Handoff: we design and build the full pipeline, document it, train your team, and support the handoff for 30 days. It's a fixed $12,000 scope, and it's a common path for teams that want the system without the ongoing retainer.
What happens to our content and data if we part ways?
You keep everything — content, configurations, reporting. We then destroy your environment (data, credentials, workflow state) within thirty days of termination and confirm it in writing. The engine you paid for doesn't linger in an agency archive.
The audit answers the rest.
Two weeks, fixed fee, your own data.
