Care Pack Club
A caregiving content site that pivoted from selling physical care packages to a content-driven affiliate and ad model — powered by an AI-assisted publishing engine.
Care Pack Club began as an e-commerce business selling physical care packages. The economics were tough: thin margins, fulfillment overhead, and a marketing budget that couldn't outbid larger retailers. The site's event data told the story plainly — purchase and cart activity in 2023 that faded as the model strained.
The audience, though, was real. Caregivers were finding the site and staying. The question became whether that attention could support a different business entirely.
We rebuilt the business around content. An AI-assisted publishing pipeline — with human editorial review on every piece, because caregiving content carries real stakes — grew the library from roughly 140 articles to roughly 350. Every topic was chosen from search demand data, not guesswork.
Monetization shifted to affiliate recommendations and display advertising, mapped to the content people were already trusting. Anomalous international bot traffic was identified and filtered so every reported number reflects real readers.
By 2025, organic search had become the site's primary growth channel, driving roughly 61% of new user acquisition.
Volume alone doesn't produce these curves. The engine worked because topic selection was demand-driven, quality gates kept the content trustworthy in a sensitive category, and monetization was layered onto pages that had already earned attention — in that order.
The pivot itself came from the data. Disappearing e-commerce events surfaced the real opportunity before anyone wrote a brief. That's the difference between running a pipeline and running an engine.
